Manaslu Circuit Trek doesn’t require any kind of camping gear as the trails pass through the village areas. but minimal fitness is required with the capacity to adopt the higher altitude.

The trekking trail of Manaslu Circuit Trek!

This amazing Manaslu Circuit Trek trail begins with the scenic drive to Arughat Bazaar. As you reach to Arughat Bazaar, you will begin the official trek from the Lapubesi by following several charming villages through following the bank of the Budi Gandaki River. Then the further trekking trails lead us to Doban, Philim, Ghap, Sama Gaon, Samdo, Dharamsala, Bimtang, Tilje, Dharapani, Besi Sahar and finally, Kathmandu.  The trekking trails pass through several remote villages, subtropical forest areas, barren alpine terrain, and cliffs along the riverside. Throughout your trekking journey, you will walk on the stone-paved path, riverbeds, and landslide as well as avalanches areas. the trails follow the ancient salt trading route of Tibet along the Budi Gandaki River.

DETAILED ITINERARY

After your arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, one of our representatives will be there to welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. After hotel check-in, you will be welcomed with a drink and later introduced to the trekking guide. In the evening, you can stroll around the lively Thamel Bazaar, where you can do some shopping with the guide. You will also be provided a short orientation class about the further trek of the Lower Manaslu Trek. You can also enjoy a welcome dinner and stay overnight in the hotel at Kathmandu.

After having morning breakfast, we will take a private vehicle and drive onwards to Arughat Bazaar. During our journey, you will get chances to pass the edge of Kathmandu Valley and catch glimpses of Annapurna, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Langtang Himal, and other associated peaks. We will follow the terraces, green hills and pass through Dhanding Bisi or Gorkha Bazaar. The further drive from Gorkha Bazaar will lead us to Arughat Bazaar. As you reach Arughat Bazaar, you will again drive towards Lapubesi following the beautiful Soti Khola, situated at an elevation of 884 meters. Have dinner and stay overnight in the guesthouse of Arughat Bazaar.

In this day, after morning breakfast, we will continue the trek ahead to Doban, situated at an elevation of 1250 meters. We will follow a gradual ascending trail through rugged rocky terrain. Following varied trees, we will ascend up and down ravines. During your trek, you will hear the chirping sounds of different birds in the forest, and several waterfalls on both sides of the Budhi Gandaki River make this trekking worthwhile. On the way, you can encounter various villages such as Liding, Machhakhola, Jagat, and Philim, where you will meet friendly mountain people and their warm hospitality. Along the way, you will be accompanied by magnificent vistas of Ganesh Himal, Shringi Himal, and Himal Chuli. Following alder, poplar, and blue pine trees, you will reach Doban. Have dinner and stay overnight in the guesthouse of Doban.

After morning breakfast, we will continue the trek towards Philim, situated at an elevation of 1570 meters. The trek continues through a beautiful narrow, dramatic gorge. You can explore towering walls, pass a thundering waterfall with stunning mountain peaks in view. Then continue the trek ahead, cross a suspension bridge and ascend gradually along a wide hillside. You will follow the trekking trail through dense forest and several small villages including Deng and Nubri Kutang, where you can encounter local people influenced by Tibetan culture. You can enjoy views of Lumbo Himal, Lapuchen, Dwijen Himal and others. Have dinner and stay overnight in the guest house of Philim.

After morning breakfast, continue the trek with stunning mountain views and an alluring view of the Bhudhigandaki Valley below Philim. You can pass through the small settlement of Ekle Bhatti, and a wonderful waterfall on the way, following the Tsum Valley and Manaslu Circuit trail. The further trek will pass a bridge with narrow gorges, Nayak or Pewa, the Bhudhigandaki river, and reach Dang. The trek continues past a beautiful bridge, the small local village of Rana, through lovely pine woods and finally reaches Bihi Phedi, from where you can have stunning views of Kutang Himal. Continuing the trek, you can explore Mani stones marked with tiny Tibetan footholds.

In this day, after early morning breakfast, you will continue the trek towards Sama Gaon, situated at an elevation of 3525 meters. The trekking trail takes us past an ancient Gompa and various local folk near the Tibetan border. You can also enjoy majestic mountain views on the way. Around 6 to 7 hours of trekking will take us to Sama Gaon. As you reach Sama Gaon, you can explore the village and interact with native people, closely observing their culture and traditions. Have dinner and stay overnight in the guest house at Sama Gaon.

Today is your rest day at Sama Gaon, where you will spend the whole day exploring the village and its significance. Early in the morning, you will have breakfast and continue to stroll around the village and explore a little piece of an old Tibetan Gompa. You can also make a short hike up to the Manaslu Base camp or Birendra Lake for stunning mountain views. As you reach the top near Birendra Lake, you can enjoy exploring the lake and beautiful glacier there with an array of breathtaking mountain views. After exploration, you can also make another short hike up to Pung Gyen Gompa at 3870 meters and admire the unique natural beauty around. After exploration, you will return back to Sama Gaon for overnight stay. Have dinner and stay overnight in Sama Gaon.

In this day, early in the morning, have breakfast and continue the trek forward to Samdo, situated at an elevation of 3850 meters. As you continue on the trek following through barren hills with magnificent views of the Himalayas and blue sheep territory, around 3 to 4 hours of trekking will take us to Samdo, where you will find many teahouses to choose from for accommodation. Samdo village is famous for its best views. You can also enjoy several cultural activities there. Have dinner and stay overnight in the Samdo guesthouse.

Have morning breakfast and continue the trek towards Dharamsala, also known as Larkya Phedi, situated at an elevation of 4460 meters. The trail follows the old trade route towards Tibet and crosses a beautiful bridge. The further trek climbs through the trade markets of Larkya bazaar. After about three hours of ascending trail following the glaciers, you will also get an opportunity to have breathtaking views of the Himalayas. The trek continues to take you to Dharamsala. As you reach Dharamsala, you will be near the Larkya La pass for stunning views of the mountains. Have dinner and stay overnight in Dharamsala.

In this morning, early in the morning, after breakfast, the trail goes to the north side of the Larkya Glaciers where you can enjoy splendid views of the mountains from Cho Danda and then of Larkya Peak. As we reach Larkya La Pass (4930m), you will get to view wonderful panoramic mountains including Himlung Himal (7126m), Cheo Himal (6820m), Gyagi Kung, Kang Kuru (6981m) and Annapurna II (7937m), and many more. After exploration, you will again continue on a steep descending trail through moraines, towards Bhimphedi. Continuing on a slippery trail following stunning glacial moraine, you will finally arrive at Bimtang. Have dinner and stay overnight in the guest house of Bimtang.

In this day, after early morning breakfast, we will continue the trek following the descending trail along greenery, fig trees and rhododendron forest. The further trek follows the rocky river-bed and passes sliding hillsides to several small green villages with scenic views. After around 7 to 8 hours of trekking you will reach the large village of Tilje, where you can encounter Manangis (of Tibetan descent) and Chettris (Hindus) and witness their unique architecture and culture. Have dinner and stay overnight in the guest house.

After early morning breakfast, we will continue the trek following the beautiful Dudh Khola through bamboo forests. Around 2 hours of trekking down will bring us to the Annapurna Conservation Area Project board at Dharapani. You will also encounter various Tibetan villages decorated with prayer flags fluttering at the Gompa in Thongje. As you reach Dharapani, you will begin around a 3 to 4 hour drive back to Besisahar and continue driving to Kathmandu. As you reach Kathmandu, you will be taken to the hotel where you can rest and freshen up. In the evening, you can stroll around the attractive Thamel Bazaar and do some shopping. In the evening you will get a chance to enjoy a farewell dinner with a typical cultural program celebrating the successful completion of the Lower Manaslu Trek in Nepal. Overnight stay at the same hotel.

Today is your last day in this wonderful country in Nepal. One of our representatives will help you find your final destination. After having breakfast, he/she will take you to the airport, 3 hours earlier than your flight schedule. We will wish you a safe flight and hope that we will meet in Nepal on your next vacation trip.
