The Manaslu Trek, one of the most classical treks in Nepal that offers you the best views of the eighth world’s highest mountain; Manaslu (8,163m) including the chance to explore the highest peak Larkya La Pass. The trekking trails are decorated with strings of colorful prayer flags. Walking through the trails, you will enjoy the views of fascinating cultural and biological diversity, various beautiful rivers, heavenly landscapes, traditional settlements of different ethnic communities, and several Himalayan ranges.

The Trekking Trails to Manaslu!

Situated in the western part of Nepal at an altitude over 8,000 meters, the Manaslu circuit trekking begins with the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Kathmandu valley. Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambunath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Royal Durbar Square are the major cultural and historical sites of Kathmandu valley. Located on the bank of the Bagmati River, Pashupatinath Temple is one of the famous and sacred temples of Hindus followers where Lord Shiva is worshipped. Though you are not allowed to enter inside the main temple, you can see the view of the temple from the eastern side of the temple. Boudhanath is the biggest Buddhist Stupa in the world which was built in the 5th century with four pairs of eyes of Lord Buddha. You will find spinning prayer wheels in this while stupa. Swayambunath temple lying on the hilltop is also popular as the monkey temple.

Then our trekking journey continues towards SotiKhola in a private vehicle. Reaching Soti Khola, our actual trekking journey starts to Machha Khola to Jagat to Deng to Namrung to Lho to Samagaun to Samdo to Dharmasala to Bhimthang to Tilije to Dharapani to Besi Sahar and then back to Kathmandu Valley. Walking through these traditional and remote villages, you will encounter the nomadic lifestyle of people living over there. The trails pass through several suspension bridges over the Budi Gandaki River, strings of prayer flags, Himalayan glacier lakes, dense forests rich in diverse floras and faunas, and many more. These villages are rich with their unique culture and traditions. Exploring the rich local heritage and biological diversity of this region adds additional amusement in your trekking voyage.

The Manaslu trek offers the stunning views of many Himalayans such as Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Mt. Himalchuli along with the Himalayan remote lifestyle and cultural experiences. Passing suspension bridges over the Budi Gandaki River, witnessing the beautifully done terraced fields, pasturelands, waterfalls, and visiting local monasteries offers you the great experience of while trekking in the less crowded Manaslu region. Day 1:- Arrival in TIA Kathmandu (1300 m)

First arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, where you will find one of our representatives who will welcome you and drops you to your hotel at Kathmandu. After Hotel check-in you can do some rest and be fresh with the welcome drinks. Stroll around Thamel Bazaar and make place familiar, if you wish to buy something that you desired, the guide will help you to find. In the evening there will be a short introduction program, where we will introduce you with your trekking guide. You can also enjoy welcome dinner with our team.

Stay overnight in the hotel at Kathmandu.

Note: Welcome dinner is optional, if you prefer then we will organize it as per your choices.

Day 2:- : Kathmandu City tour (1300 m)

Early morning breakfast and whole day you will visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites with an experienced guide. You will explore the world heritage sites of Kathmandu Valley including Pashupatinath Temple, Syambhunath temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. In the evening, there will be short orientation class about further trek of Manaslu Circuits Trek and you can do some preparation for the next day trek. Have dinner and stay overnight in the same hotel.

Day 3:- Drive to Sotikhola by bus or private Jeep 7/8 hrs (710 m)

Have an early morning breakfast and take a private vehicle for Sotikhola. Drive from Kathmandu to Seti Khola, the starting point of the trek. As you continue to drive ahead, you will follow the beautiful Budi Gandaki River while driving. You have to drive around 8 to 9 hours with the scenic view through the beautiful Nepalese Village. On the way, you can witness and enjoy Dhading Besi, Arughat, beautiful green hills, dense forests, thundering rivers and traditional settlements during our drive journey. Finally, you will reach Seti Khola for overnight. Have dinner with us and stay overnight in the guest house at Seti Khola.

Day 4:- Trek SotiKhola to MachhaKhola 5/6 hrs (900 m)

Have a morning breakfast and continue trek ahead by following Seti Khola and then to Machha Khola, which is situated at the elevation of the 900m. Today’s trail is full of ups and downs and goes through the narrow and rocky terrain. We will come across many beautiful waterfalls and then continue trek through the beautiful Sal forests, then climb onto a ridge above huge rapids on the Budi Gandaki. Dropping to the sandy river bed, we walk along rounded stones before climbing over a side ridge. The trekking trail will Pass-through Armala, Apubesi, Living, Khani Besi along with various ethnic villages, towering waterfall, green Hills, thundering Budi Gandaki river and various rice Paddies before reaching Machha Khola. Our trekking trailhead down by following the river and cross another beautiful suspension bridge over the river and finally reach to Machha Khola village. Have dinner and stay overnight in the guesthouse of Machha Khola.

Day 5:- Trek Macha Khola to Jagat 5/6 hrs (1410 m)

Morning breakfast and continue trek towards Jagat from Machha Khola, which is situated at the elevation of the 1410 meters. Continue trek around 6 to 7 hours several ups and down which will follow the beautiful river and pass the cultivated fields and stone steps, we shall reach the hot spring in Tatopani village. As you reach to Tatopani, you can have experience of dipping down into the natural hot spring. It is believed that once you dip into the natural hot water, the water has a healing power to your body skin diseases. After enjoying in the gushy hot waters and relaxing ourselves a bit we shall climb through forest and cross the Budi Gandaki to reach the ridge of Dobhan. The further trek will cross the Yaru Khola and reach to Tharo Bharyang walking through the stone steps. After crossing the west bank of Budhi Gandaki river, we will reach Jagat. Have dinner and stay overnight in the guest house of Jagat.

Day 6:- Trek Jagat to Deng 5/6 hrs (1810 m)

Have a morning breakfast and continue trek with the pleasing trek towards Deng, situated at the elevations of the 1,860m. The further trek ascends to the terraced hill of Salleri will offer you a splendid view of Sringi Himal (7177 m). Then the trail turns north just above the lowest house in the village and stays on a fairly level trail as it crosses millet fields to EkleBhatti. The valley widens a bit as the trail continues to Ghatta Khola. We further continue walking upstream to a long suspension bridge in Philim, a large Gurung village, where you can have a great view of Shringi Himal, and discover some Buddhist Mani Walls. After that, you will descend down to the grassy land slopes, cross the Budi Gandaki. The trekking trail is filled with the terraced fields, green hills, bamboo forests, few suspension bridges and various villages such as; Salleri, Sirdibas, Phillim, Eklebhatti, Nyak and finally we will reach beautiful Deng Village. Have dinner and stay overnight in the guest house of Deng.

Day 7:- Trek Deng to Namrung 6/7 hrs (2630 m)

Have a morning breakfast and continue trek towards Namrung, situated at the elevations of 2,540m. As you follow the trail along the beautiful Budi Gandaki River, you can also see several beautiful villages of Rana people. Today we cross Budi Gandaki River several times through the suspension bridges and can witness amazing fields of flowering mustard. Continue further trek towards west following a wonderful waterfall, beautiful rhododendron forest, where you may witness Langur Monkey on the way and eventually reach to Namrung. The further trek will take us to Ghap, where we can hear the pleasant sound of a waterfall and observe ancient writings and art in the stones. You can enjoy remarkable views of Himalayan peaks such as; Ganesh Himal, Himal Chuli and many more during your trekking trail. The further trek will lead us to the Namrung. Have dinner and stay overnight at Namrung.

Day 8:- Trek Namrung to Lho 4/5 hrs (3520 m)

Morning breakfast and continue trek towards Lho, which is situated at the elevation of the 3520 meters. Continue trek across the Hinan River with the majestic views of the Himalayas such as; Naike Peak, Manaslu North (7,774 m) and Manaslu (8,150 m) until you will reach to the Lho. After some hours of hiking, we will reach Lho Gaon, and explore extraordinary views of Mt. Manaslu from Lho village and also explore the famous Ribung Gompa. Have dinner and stay overnight in the guest house of Lho.

Day 9:- : Trek Lho to Samagaun 3 hrs (3500 m)

Have morning breakfast and continue trek ahead to Samagaun. a beautiful village with an eye-catching view of Mt. Manaslu. Around 3 hours of the trek will take you to the top of the hill, where you can explore the ancient Buddhist monastery of Ribung Gompa. As you reach to Ribung Gompa, you can stroll around and explore the place around. Have dinner and stay overnight in the guest house of Samagaun

Day 10:- : Explore a day in Samagaun 3500 m

After early morning breakfast, you will rest today and stroll around and explore the Samagaon. You can visit Birendra Tal which is nearby Samagaon village, and explore the Pung Gyen Monastery and have an impressive view of Manaslu Himal and other 29 wonderful peaks. Some trekkers prefer to make the short trek to Manaslu Base Camp and trek back to Samagaun. (It takes around 7 to 8 hours to reach Manaslu Base Camp. It depends upon your choices. Have dinner and stay overnight in the guest house of Samagaon.

Day 11:- Trek Samagaun to Samdo 5/6 hrs (3860 m)

In this day, you can have an early morning breakfast and begin trek along the Budhi Gandaki River that has turned north from the village of Samagaun. Then further we will follow the left trail to the Manaslu Base Camp by following Larkya La Pass and several Mani Walls existed over there. Continue trek by following beautiful Samagaon Village and finally reach Samdo Village. Today we will trek around 3 to 4 hours and reach our destination. Have dinner and stay overnight in the guest house of Samdo.

Day 12:- Trek Samdo to Dharmasala 4/5 hrs (4460 m)

Have a morning breakfast and continue trek and departure Samdo Village and go ahead to Dharmasala, at the elevation of the 4460meter. The further trek towards Dharmasala will follow the beautiful river beds and along a glacier and Larke Phedi. After further trek will take us to the beautiful Gorge village and explore various Mani walls, on the way. As we trek ahead, we will reach to the Larke Phedi, which is located at the altitude of 4,460m and also known as Larke Base Camp. In Dharmashala, you can also stroll around and explore the place around. Have dinner with a guide and stay overnight in the guest house of Dharamsala,

Day 13:- Wake up early morning for Larke La pass (5160 m) and Bhimthang 8/9 hrs (3720 m)

Have morning breakfast and continue trek onwards to Bhimthang, which is situated at the elevation of 3720 meters. As we will follow the challenging trek around 8 to 9 hours, first we will climb up to the Larke La Pass, which offers us stunning views of the Himalayas such as; Annapurna II, Himlung Himal, Manaslu Peak, Kangguru Himal, Cheo Himal, and many more. After exploration, we will continue trek and witness wildlife such as; blue sheep, marmot, pika, Tibetan snow-cock tracks and snow leopard paw prints if you are lucky enough. Have dinner and stay overnight in the guest house of Bimthang.

Day 14:- Trek Bhimthang to Tilije 5/6 hrs (2300 m)

In this day, after having morning breakfast, we will departure Bhimthang and continue trek ahead with the views of beautiful Himalayan peaks. Onwards to Tilije route is quite easier, as we continue trek from a ridge at Bimthang, the great views of Mt. Manaslu, LamjungHimal, Himlung Himal and Cheo Himal will accompany us. The further descend trail will cross a high pasture (SangureKharka) followed by a bridge over Dudh Khola. You will also follow the amazing glacier, and cross the steel Bailey’s bridge, and eventually reach the small village of Karcher. The further trail on the rocky terrain along the riverbed which is situated at the contour of the sliding hillsides towards the lower altitude and reach to the village of Tilije. Descend down to Tilije by following the lovely rhododendron forests, one of the highest cultivated village, Karache, Gho Village and finally Tilije village. Have dinner and stay overnight in the guest house of Tilije.

Day 15:- Trek Tilije to Dharapani 5/6 hrs (1700 m)

Have an early morning breakfast and continue to trek back to Dharapani, which is situated at the elevation of the 1700 meters. We will leave the famous Tilije village famous for agricultural activity and we will trek further to Thonche, the ending point of the Manaslu trail. We will cross another beautiful bridge and eventually reach to Dharapani where the Annapurna tourist highway is met and you start missing the quaint Manaslu trail. After 5 to 6 hours trek will take you to the Dharapani. Have dinner and stay overnight in the guest house of Dharapani.

Day 16:- Drive Dharapani to Besisahar by Jeep 800 m (4/5 hrs)

After morning breakfast, we will begin our journey back to Besisahar after exploration of Dharapani. On the way, we will get chances to admire the splendid view of mountains and Rhododendron Forest on the way to Besisahar. We can enjoy these fascinating views around 4/5 hours (more or less) until we reach Besisahar. Have dinner and stay overnight in the guest house at Besisahar.

Day 17:- Drive back to Kathmandu by Bus or private Jeep 6/7 hrs (1300 m)

Have an early morning breakfast and departure the beautiful Besisahar village, and begin the journey towards Kathmandu by Jeep drive. Around 6 to 7 hours drive will allow you to enjoy the sceneries of hills and rivers along the highway. As we reach to Kathmandu, after hotel check-in, we can do some rest at the hotel. You can also do some souvenir shopping in the tourist hub of Thamel Bazaar. In the evening, we will host a farewell dinner for you, where you can also enjoy an evening to celebrate the successful completion of our journey with the typical Nepali cultural program. You will be staying the whole night in the same hotel at Kathmandu.

Day 18:- Final Departure

After having early morning breakfast, one of our representatives will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport before 3 hours of your flight schedule. We will wish you a safe flight for your journey towards your hometown.
