Helambu circuit trek is a classic combination of natural beauty and cultural richness. You can experience rural Nepal, its untouched natural glory, preserved cultural and rare floras and faunas at once that also in a location that is very near to the capital city of Kathmandu. Moreover, the trekking route goes through the premises of Langtang conservation area which in itself is an area of diversity when it comes to vegetation, terrain, climatic conditions, floras, birds and faunas.

Helambu circuit trek starts with a drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal. You enter into the Shivapuri Conservation area; pass the watershed and wildlife reserve to Chisapani. On the route, you will be blessed with the mesmerizing close of views of Mt. Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang range, Gaurishankar Himal, Mt. Shisapangma and many other neighboring peaks. The trail extends to the villages of Gul Bhanjyang, Sermathang, Melamchi Gaun and many other villages in between. A gentle walk through these villages and interaction with people gives you insight on people, their ethnic group, their own unique culture, custom, tradition, festivals, and lifestyle.

Arrive at the airport in Kathmandu! You will be received by our representative and transferred to a hotel in Kathmandu. Check in to the hotel and spend rest of the time on your own. Our representative will brief you about your plan ahead. Stay at the hotel for the night. (Breakfast included)
Today you will be headed to the UNESCO listed world heritage sites in Kathmandu. After your breakfast, your guide will receive you at the hotel and transfer you to the Kathmandu Durbar Square. Here, you can explore the historical monuments, temples and palaces built during the medieval period in Nepal. It is a fine piece of art, culture and history. After exploring the artistic beauty of those palaces, temples and museum, you will be headed to Swayambhunath stupa, a reflection a Buddhist religion at a top of a hill that offers a picturesque view of Kathmandu city as a whole. Next on the sightseeing journey is the ancient and popular Pashupatinath temple. It is a temple of Lord Shiva that holds high value amongst the Hindu pilgrims. We wander around the temple, explore its religious value and head towards Boudhanath stupa. We enjoy our evening around the stupa placed on the three layered mandala and wrap up our journey for the day. You will be dropped at the hotel for the night. (Breakfast included)
Wake up and enjoy your breakfast. You will be picked up at the hotel and driven to Sundarijal for our hiking journey ahead. It takes around one hour for us to reach Sundarijal which is the starting point of our hike. We start our hike up through the stone paved stairs. We walk for a while and enter Shivapuri watershed and wildlife reserve which is a place with biodiversity. As we climb up through the stairs, we pass forests and villages until reach up to the top of Shivapuri hill. From the top, we will be blessed with the mesmerizing close of views of Mt. Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang range, Gaurishankar Himal, Mt. Shisapangma and many other neighboring peaks. From Borlang Bhanjyang, our trail descends downhill with the amazing views of mountains on our left. We continue descend down until we reach Chisapani, our ending point for the day. We stay at a guesthouse in Chisapani. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Early in the morning, after breakfast in the guesthouse, we continue through the trail that drops down from Chispani along the lush meadows and fields. As you descend down the trail, you will be blessed with some breathtaking views of mountains right in front of your eyes. As you drop down, the trail heads towards Pathi Bhanjyang, a beautiful settlement of Brahmin and Chhetri community people in north. A gentle ascend from the village takes you to Thankuni Bhajyang, a Sherpa village on the way. The trail further ascends to Chipling all the way to Jhogin Danda from where you can get some fabulous glances of mountains. From the danda, we walk down through the forests until we reach the Tamang village of Gul Bhanjyang. We stay at a guesthouse in Gul Bhanjyang for the night. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Leaving Gul Bhanjyang, we climb up until we reach another pass at an altitude of 2620 meters. The trail ascends up through the forests of oak with excellent views of mountains and Helambu valley on sight. We walk towards Yurin Danda that offers some remarkable views of Langtang ranges and Gosaikunda. We further climb up to Kutumsang, pass the forests of oak and rhododendron to Magen goth. Then, our trial goes up steep and descends down a village adorned with fluttering prayer flags. The village is a large settlement area of Sherpa people popular as Melamchi Gaun. Today, we stop at a guesthouse in Melamchi Gaun for the night. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
We start our walk through a flat trail amidst the forested area. In the end part of our journey for the day, we open up to a beautiful Sherpa village popular as Sermathang. Upon arrival in the village of Sermathang, we explore around the village and interact with people. There is Buddhist monastery in the village of Sermathang. He hike up to the monastery and return back to the village for overnight stay. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
After our breakfast in Sermathang, we descend down gradually through the meadows and agricultural farmlands to Melamchu Pul Bazaar. On the way back, we can enjoy some spectacles of mountain along with an insightful interaction with local people. The people residing here are hostile and friendly. You can relax your mind with stunning views of Mother Nature as you walk down Melamchi Pul Bazaar amidst the lushness of forests and other scenery. We stay at a guesthouse in Melamchi Pul Bazaar for the night. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
After completing the Helambu circuit trek, we drive back to Kathmandu today. We catch a private vehicle at Melamchi Pul Bazaar that will drive us back to Kathmandu along a beautiful and scenic path. In around four hours, you will find yourselves in Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to a hotel in Kathmandu. You can enjoy remaining time on your own. (Breakfast and lunch included)
We conclude our journey today. You will be driven to airport for your journey ahead. (Breakfast included)
