The best time to opt for Kailash Mansarovar Tour is at any time between April to June and September to November. As the maximum elevation rises to 5600 meters, there are some chances of having altitude sickness however proper acclimatization will help as a precaution. In the season time i.e. Kora time, you will find this place a bit crowded with the pilgrims who visit this place annually at the Kailash yatra time.

Day 1:- Welcome to Kathmandu

Arrive at the airport in Kathmandu! You will be received by our representative and transferred to a hotel in Kathmandu. Check in to the hotel and spend rest of the time on your own. Our representative will brief you about your plan ahead. Stay at the hotel for the night. (Breakfast included)

Day 2:- Kathmandu City Sightseeing

Today you will be headed to the UNESCO listed world heritage sites in Kathmandu. After your breakfast, your guide will receive you at the hotel and transfer you to the Kathmandu Durbar Square. Here, you can explore the historical monuments, temples and palaces built during the medieval period in Nepal. It is a fine piece of art, culture and history. After exploring the artistic beauty of those palaces, temples and museum, you will be headed to Swayambhunath stupa, a reflection a Buddhist religion at a top of a hill that offers a picturesque view of Kathmandu city as a whole. Next on the sightseeing journey is the ancient and popular Pashupatinath temple. It is a temple of Lord Shiva that holds high value amongst the Hindu pilgrims. We wander around the temple, explore its religious value and head towards Boudhanath stupa. We enjoy our evening around the stupa placed on the three layered mandala and wrap up our journey for the day. You will be dropped at the hotel for the night. (Breakfast included)

Day 3:- Fly to Lhasa

Get ready for an amazing flight to Lhasa today. You will be picked up at your hotel and escorted to international terminal of Tribhuwan International airport for a flight to Lhasa. As you take off, you will be flown over the beautiful ranges of Himalayas. Admiring the Himalayan views, you will reach Gonggar airport where you will meet our Chinese crew members who will escort you for your journey ahead. From the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel Check in to the hotel and relax for rest of the day.

Day 4:- Sightseeing in Lhasa

Also known as the land of gods, Lhasa is a treasure of Tibet city manifested with beautiful monasteries, palaces and temples. It treasures it art, architecture and culture intact in its monasteries, temples and ancient palaces. Today, you will be guided to Sera monastery which is one of the best preserved and magnificent monasteries in Lhasa. The white washed walls, golden roofs and the architecture of the building gives the monastery a classic look. There are thousands of monks who study and live in this monastery. After visiting this monastery, you will be headed to Norbulinkga, a summer palace of Dalai Lama. The grandness of this palace is beyond words of description. After admiring the gorgeousness of this palace, you will be headed to Jokhang temple, an ancient temple places in between the maze like bakor streets in the center of Lhasa. Stay at your hotel for the night.

Day 5:- Sightseeing in Lhasa

Another day of sightseeing tour in Lhasa and you have much to explore ahead. You will be guided to Potala palace, one of the magnificent palaces of Dalai Lama. As you enter into Lhasa, the first thing that comes to sight is the red and white colored grand palace on a top of a hill which is known as Potala palace. Built in 17th century, this palace is full of grand rooms and important worship rooms (chapels). After exploring this palace; you will be transferred to Drepung monastery, that largest monastery of the world that can accommodate around ten thousand monks. After this we conclude our sightseeing journey and you will be dropped at your hotel for the evening.

Day 6:- Drive to Shigatse

Leaving Lhasa, we head towards Gyantse in our land cruiser. We follow the path along Tsangpo river and ascend up until we reach Khampa La. From the pass, we can relish the beautiful views of Yamdrok lake just below us and the peak of Ningdzingzonka right in front of us. Leaving the lake, we drive towards west to Gyantse. At Gyantse, you can visit the popular Pelkor monastery. After visiting the monastery, we further drive to Shigatse, which would be our stopping point for the day.

Day 7:- Shigatse to Saga

After our breakfast in the guesthouse, we continue our overland ride on the land cruiser. We drive through Bhramaputra river, pass many villages and small camps of yak herders on the way to Saga. We drive through a plain flat land for most of the day hence our ride is comfortable and pleasing. We will be engaged with the beautiful views of Tibetan landscape throughout our drive today. We stay at a guesthouse in Saga for the night.

Day 8:- Drive to Chui Gompa and then to Mansarovar Lake

Get ready for an exciting day today because today you are going to be blessed with the enriching views of Mt. Kailash and holy Mansarovar lake. After breakfast in the guesthouse, we set off for a longest day drive to Mansarovar today. On the way, we visit a gompa called Chui Gompa and head towards the lake. As you reach the lake of Mansarovar, you will be awed with its turquoise colored complexion. It is the highest fresh water lake that consists of fishes and swans in it. The mystic Mt. Kailash and lake Rakshyasha in the periphery adds to the beauty of the surrounding. The combination of the lakes and mountains looks something surreal. After exploring the lake, you will spend your night near the Mansarovar Lake for tonight.

Day 9:- Mansarovar to Tarchen

Wake up early in the morning in the backdrop of Holy Mt. Kailash with Mansarovar lake on sight. The blissful moment of being in from of the tranquil lake is phenomenon. Take bath in that holy lake to get rid of all your sins. It is believed that whoever takes a dip in that lake and worships lord will get rid of all the sins. A bath in the lake is also considered to be an ailment of body. After the bath, we take our packed lunch and head towards Tarchen on our land cruiser. Today, we stay at Tarchen for the night.

Day 10:- Tarchen – Tarboche – Dirapuk

We fuel up ourselves with the breakfast for a kora journey today. Tarchen is the starting point of our Kora around Mt. Kailash. The path from Tarchen is also known as “Asthapath” where astha means faith and path means way i.e. way of faith. As we start our Kailash yatra, we will be blessed with the astonishing views of cliffs, waterfalls, mountains and wild Tibetan landscape. The clear blue sky with mountainous view around looks amazing. As we walk towards Dirapuk, we will get glimpse of Mt. Kailash few times during our journey. Today, we stop at Dirapuk for the night.

Day 11:- Dirapuk – Zuthulpuk – Dolma La pass

We start our journey early today. We continue through our trail until the path winds up to Dolma La pass. The weather condition in the pass is totally unpredictable and unreliable. Generally, the pass is prone to heavy storms during the day time. Therefore, it is recommended to cross the pass as early as possible. From the pass, our trail of Kailash yatra descends down to Zuthulpuk via Gauri kunda. Today, we stop at Zuthulpuk for the night.

Day 12:- Zuthulpuk – Tarchen – Mansarovar – Saga

We are at the end phase of our kora (Kailash yatra). Early in the morning, we visit few temples and shrines built in the periphery of Milarepa cave and walk towards Tarchen to complete our circulating journey around Mt. Kailash. From Tarchen, you will be driven back to Shigatse through Mansarovar. We stay at a guesthouse in Shigatse for the night.

Day 13:- 13 Drive from Saga to Shigatse

We drive back via same path to Shigatse. We stay at a guesthouse in Shigatse for today.

Day 14:- Lhasa to Kathmandu

We are almost at the end part of our journey. Today, you will be escorted to airport for a flight back to Kathmandu. Our Nepalese crew member will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel. Check in and stay at the hotel for rest of the time.

Day 15:- Departure time

Concluding the trip, you will be transferred to the airport for your journey ahead.
